KATHERINE TROY, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi! My name is Kat, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps adults and teens navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions with compassion and understanding. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth, creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to make meaningful change.
I believe in working holistically — walking alongside clients on their journeys and helping them connect with what feels most helpful and healing. I draw from evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I also offer Walk & Talk therapy. These methods help clients build coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and reconnect with their values. Each session is tailored to the individual, blending practical tools with empathy and insight. I am affirming and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community.
My background includes experience in outpatient therapy, PHP/IOP, and crisis settings. I’ve worked with individuals coping with chronic illness, grief and loss, substance use disorders, OCD, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I bring a calm, grounded presence to my sessions, with the goal of helping clients move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling more balanced, confident, and capable in their daily lives.
