Christian Counseling

Our holistic approach to counseling includes an understanding that we are comprised of mind, body, and spirit.  If we treat the body and mind but neglect the spirit, healing will not be sustainable; therefore, Christian Counseling is made available to those who wish to incorporate faith into our work together.

We acknowledge the uncomfortable reality that some may have hurtful experiences in the course of their faith journey.  We do not judge, and we do not exclude. We see clients of all faiths and backgrounds, including those who do not identify to any particular faith. There is freedom to have these hard conversations in the hope that spiritual healing and restoration can be found. Christian Counseling is not required to receive services but can be a powerful component in treating your WHOLE self.

Therapy Session

"I will bring health and healing. I will heal my people and reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth." Jeremiah 33:6

Maybe you have felt distant, forgotten or rejected by God in the challenges you have been enduring or you are wondering where God is in the middle of your struggle. Maybe you believe in God, or thought you did, but can't feel his presence in this deep pain. Maybe you feel that you have never had a true relationship with God and you don't know how to make that connection or apply it to your healing.

Are you tired of wrestling with this alone? Christian Counseling allows you to focus on a relationship with God (intimacy, openness, understanding, love) versus religion (do's/ don't, rights/wrongs).  You won't be preached at or shamed, but given the freedom, acceptance, and safety you need to address your pain and doubts, so you can receive the compassionate care you need to heal your mind, body, and spirit. From this place, we can accept our true selves and restore hope for your future.

What you may receive from a Christian Counseling session:

  • Allowing you space and freedom to express your fears, doubts, or mistrust--- while being open to further growth

  • Examining your true soul (thoughts, emotions, and will)

  • Identifying false beliefs and disruptive behaviors that have caused you pain

  • Using formal prayer to hear and heal from God (our God-given imagination with prayer)

  • Meditation on scripture to bring transformation

  • Learning to live by faith versus fear

  • Accepting your true identity in Christ

  • Learning how to use God's truth and evidenced-based practices to transform your life
